going backwards in time... Simkhat Torah in Portsmouth 2009... Shalvah had a blast dancing her mini-Torah around with Grandpa and Yehudathe next day, Shalvah and Nahanni went back to shul because Nahanni forgot her pocketbook there, and they ended up staying for the Torah service. Shalvah asked Nahanni if they have the small torahs, and Nahanni said I don't know, we have to ask the rabbi, so Shalvah stood up on her pew and asked the rabbi "do you have the little torahs?" And all credit to him, Rabbi Barry smiled, said yes, went into the back room and returned with a mini-Torah just for Shalvah...
